Jason Roark is an award-winning cinematographer and producer based in Portland, Oregon, working across documentary, narrative features, and commercial productions. Roark focuses on character-driven storytelling with an emphasis on documentary feature fIlms.
In 2023, Roark co-produced and shot Angel Applicant, which premiered at SXSW and won the Grand Jury Award. That same year, The Criterion Collection released Guillermo del Toro’s Hand-Carved Cinema, a companion piece to the Academy Award–winning Guillermo del Toro’s Pinocchio, with Roark serving as primary Director of Photography.
